1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage and pixels — do much the same job. We use them to keep the assessment working as you move through it, to remember your choices, and to understand how the product is used.
2. How we use them
We group them into three kinds:
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the service to function. These keep your place in the assessment, hold your answers between screens, remember that you’ve paid, and protect against abuse. They can’t be switched off without breaking the product, and they don’t require consent.
- Analytics. Help us see which screens people drop out on and which questions misbehave, so we can fix them. This is measured in aggregate.
- Marketing. Used to measure whether an ad led to a purchase, where we run ads.
Where the law requires it, analytics and marketing technologies load only after you consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
3. What we set
| Name | Kind | Purpose | Life |
|---|---|---|---|
ms_progress | Necessary | Remembers how far through the assessment you are so a refresh doesn’t lose your answers. | Session |
ms_offer_end | Necessary | Stores when your introductory offer window ends, so the timer is the same if you reload. | Session |
| Analytics | Analytics | Aggregate usage and error reporting, so we can find and fix faults. | Up to 2 years |
This list is kept current as the product changes. If you spot something set on your device that isn’t described here, tell us at hello@mindscoreai.app.
4. Third parties
Some cookies are set by providers who help us run MindScore, including our hosting and analytics providers. Those cookies are governed by the provider’s own policy as well as this one.
5. How to control them
Where we ask for consent, you can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings on the site. You can also control cookies in your browser: every major browser lets you block or delete them, usually under Settings → Privacy.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the assessment from working properly — your answers won’t survive a page reload.
6. More information
How we handle personal data more broadly is set out in our Privacy Policy. Questions about this policy: hello@mindscoreai.app.
